      Detox your body

      Do I need to detox?

      In a modern World filled with toxins, many of which didn't even exist 100 years ago, there are many people for whom a regular body cleanse is now an essential part of their health regime. Without actively removing them, toxins can build up and not only cause direct damage to organs and individual cells, but require massive effort from the immune system to neutralize the toxins, which can itself lead to other issues.

      Today we see toxins in our water, air and even toxic food. Many working environments are filled with toxins and offer little protection and so getting rid of them has become a necessary procedure to limit toxic levels and maintain good health.


      What does it involve?

      Simply put, a detox is a coverall name for any period of time spent actvely removing toxins from your body. This will usually involve one or more (typically several) different elements, such as avoiding toxic substances, increasing water intake to eliminate more toxins and using specific products and or methods to remove toxins from the body.

      This can either be very specific (e.g. getting rid of amalgam fillings to avoid mercury), an organ-specific cleanse (like a liver-cleanse) or more general whole-body cleanse.

      What methods and products you use will depend on your individual situation, level of health and whether you have been exposed to any particular harmful chemicals. The length of time you spend getting rid of chemical nasties depends on what they are, where they tend to be and how much they are clogging up your system.

      By and large, the more toxic you are and the longer it is since you cleansed your system, the longer it will take to perform.
